Dominating the F18 catamaran Racing Circuit

After more than a year of designing, refining and testing by international top sailors, Nacra has launched its newest Formula18 catamaran: The Nacra F18. Five prototypes were built during an intensive period of testing to ensure that the boat was totally ready for launch. This is in keeping with other the Nacra models launched during previous years.

   Nacra make sure that each boat is 100 % ready when sold. The Nacra F18 can be equipped with an integrated polyester self tacking jib-rail on the front beam that allows race-crews to tack and gybe faster during racing.

Furthermore the F18 features a high aspect Nacra-Sails sail plan with an asymmetric spinnaker and a custom designed aluminum mast section. The dagger boards and rudders are high aspect ratio for blistering upwind performance. The deck layout has been kept clean, straightforward and efficient and the uniquely shaped high performance hulls allow the boat to be driven hard in rough conditions.

  Since its introduction Nacra F18 is already a big hit in Europe - a market that demands the fastest production boats. Nacra has been proved itself to be once again; Always one step ahead!
